Melges 32 Worlds got underway with a bang on San Francisco Bay. The wind came on and the sun shone.

Three races later, a load of tired sailors made their way back to the St Francis Yacht Club, looking forward to three more great days of racing to determine who will be the third Melges World title holder.

CupSpy: A wet day and a long day
Kiwis training hard until 6.30pm. The Brits capsized their AC40 - GB1 - in Cagliari Emirates Team New Zealand put in a long day on the inner Hauraki Gulf for the second sailing day in the AC75. While in Cagliari, Athena Racing (GBR) managed the first capsize of the 38th Cup, going tip-truck in their AC40 in fresh conditions.
