La tormenta deja a la flota Optimist sin poder navegar

La fiesta del Optimist se ha quedado hoy sin protagonistas. La fuerte tormenta de ayer, varios frentes y condiciones meteorológicas en la jornada de hoy han propiciado que la flota de Optimist, que participa en el mundial de la clase en San Isidro, haya permanecido en tierra en espera de unas mejores condiciones, que nunca han llegado.

La jornada de hoy amanecía con el náutico de San Isidro hecho una pena, como si de un tsunami hubiese pasado por él. El nivel del aguas ha llegado a los 3.40 metros. Los empleados del club se han afanado para devolver un poquito el aspecto que estos días ha ofrecido a todos los visitantes.

A la hora en punto, 10:00 horas, el comité de regatas salía para ver cómo estaba el 'patio', mientras que la flota permanecía en tierra. Una larga espera en la que el Comité Organizador ha habilitado un espacio para poder proyectar unas películas para que los niños pudiesen estar entretenidos. La espera era larga y tediosa, ya que se iba un frente y llegaba otro, cargado con más viento y con más lluvia.

Tras poco más de tres horas el comité izaba 'Inteligencia' sobre 'A' (no más pruebas en el día de hoy) y después se ha izado 'L', indicando a la flota que se iba a proceder a la modificación de las instrucciones de regata. Se adelanta una hora la señal de atención y con previsión de poder completar tres pruebas en la última jornada del mundial.

Aina Colom sigue con opciones claras de medalla pero... Queda una jornada y posiblemente tres pruebas. El resto del combinado español sigue mejorando resultados, por lo que pueden concluir la cita mundialista con una mejor posición en la Página oficial
