The International Kiteboarding association is pleased to announce that the KiteFoil Euro Cup in Gizzeria, Italy has been added to the 2015 KiteFoil Gold Cup tour. The event will take place July 8 – July 12, 2015 and will be happening right before the Formula Kite World Championship, hosted at the same venue.
In a statement issued Wednesday, KiteFoil Tour Director Robbie Dean remarked, 'We have been looking for a suitable European venue for a couple months. After the unfortunate news that France (FFVL) would not be able to host a Gold Cup event, which originally planned for Montpellier France, we needed a good option. Luca Valentini and his team at Hang Loose Beach have a history of running magnificent events and they were a perfect fit.'
The 2015 KiteFoil Gold Cup tour is comprised of four events including Mexico, Italy, USA, and Australia. A sailor's best three events will be counted toward their overall score for the tour. The top male and female riders after all four events will be crowned KiteFoil GoldCup Champions.
