Barcelona World Race - Anna Corbella et Gerard Marin ont bouclé leur tour du monde en 91 jours, 05 heures, 09 minutes 28secondes sur les 23.321,76 milles de la route fond.

GAES Centros Auditivos a franchi en troisième position la ligne d’arrivée de la Barcelona World Race à 19h09mn (TU+2), le 1er avril. GAES Centros Auditivos a bouclé son tour du monde à la vitesse moyenne de 10,65 nœuds. La distance effectivement parcourue durant cette course est de 28 127,6 milles à la vitesse surface de 12,85 nœuds.

Anna Corbella comme Gerard Marin a bouclé là son deuxième tour du monde, après une première participation à la Barcelona World race 2010-2011. Anna qui avait couru aux côtés de Dee Caffari s’était alors classée 6e de l’épreuve. Gerard Marin qui courait avec Ludovic Aglaor avait terminé à la 8e place de la course. Pour les deux navigateurs, ce podium montre leur progression constante en l’espace de quatre ans.

Le bateau

L’IMOCA 60 GAES Centros Auditivos un plan Farr de 2007, a terminé le Vendée Globe 2012-2013 en cinquième position aux mains de Jean Le Cam. Auparavant, il avait terminé la Barcelona World Race en 3e position avec Tonio Piris et Pepe Ribes. C’est Loïck Peyron qui l’avait mené dans le Vendée Globe 2008-2009 avant d’abandonner sur démâtage.
