Red Bull Sailing Team collides with Alinghi - Extreme Sailing Series Lloyd Images
At 1515 BST today during race eight of the Extreme Sailing Series™ in the Madeira Islands, Red Bull Sailing Team collided with Alinghi, resulting in Alinghi losing its mast.

Red Bull Sailing Team, as windward boat and clipped the Swiss team's bowsprit. The collision caused Alinghi's mast and sails to fall into the water. The Safety Team were immediately on site to provide assistance. All crew and guests were wearing bouyancy aids and helmets and were confirmed safe.
