Bloccato sulla Costa Serena per il troppo mare, video esclusivo

Il nostro collaboratore Paolo Gemelli stava tornando a Savona da Civitavecchia ma il mare troppo grosso ha impedito alla Costa Serena, su cui era imbarcato, di attraccare nel capoluogo. Dopo alcuni tentativi di ingresso, la nave è stata dirottata su Genova.

Ma che bel Santo Stefano! Il nostro collaboratore Paolo Andrea Gemelli era partito a bordo della Costa Serena da Civitavecchia alle 18 del 25 dicembre. Durante la navigazione è stato diramato un avviso di burrasca da Sud forza 8, in aumento a 9. Quando il traghetto è arrivato davanti al porto di Savona, alle 7.30 circa del mattino, ci si è subito resi conto che l’ingresso, vista la conformazione dello scalo, sarebbe stato estremamente difficile date le condizioni. Fino alle 12 si sono susseguiti i tentativi per entrare in porto, poi la decisione di far rotta verso Genova, dove la nave è arrivata alle 15.30. Ai passeggeri è stato fornito un servizio di transfer gratuito fino a Savona.

'Le condizioni meteorologiche che si sono abbattute sulla Liguria nel corso delle ultime ore sono dovute, su ampia scala, alla presenza di una profonda depressione centrata sull’Europa settentrionale che ha favorito l’approfondirsi di un minimo barico secondario in prossimità del ponente ligure. Le condizioni del mare, che al largo di Genova hanno causato forti disagi alla navigazione, sono causate dalla circolazione depressionaria a sud del centro che favorisce l’instaurarsi di forti venti meridionali. Il moto ondoso, favorito da un elevato fetch (la lunghezza del tratto di mare sgombro da ostacoli su cui il vento puo soffiare liberamente) ha raggiunto elevati valori di altezza significativa, localmente superiori a 3 metri. Il flusso di aria carica di umidita proveniente dal mare, accumulatasi in prossimità dei rilievi, sta favorendo il persistere di piogge anche a carattere di rovescio temporalesco. Criticità anche sul fronte idrogeologico: i torrenti hanno difficoltà a smaltire l’acqua accumulatasi a monte per effetti del moto ondoso e si segnalano esondazioni come nel caso dell’Entella a Chiavari. Le immagini mostrate dal satellite Meteosat mostrano sulla Liguria un sistema frontale ben strutturato con il fronte freddo in prossimità di Corsica e Sardegna'.
