Audi TP52 World Championship - Coastal race cancelled

by Giuliano Luzzatto on 12 Jun 2014
Quantum Racing and Azzurra - 2014 Audi TP52 World Championship Martinez Studio/52 Super Series
At the Audi TP52 World Championship, the weather forecast didn't leave much room for hope and in fact, the race committee had no option but cancel the coastal race in program for today. During the long wait, to no avail, the TP52 fleet was docked while the AP flag was flying over Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

A fickle breeze blew over the race course, never passing the 4-5 knot barrier. Another coastal race is scheduled for tomorrow, starting at 12pm, while the windward/leeward races will now take place during the last two days of the regatta, when the breeze is expected to pick up significantly.
