Adventures of a Sailor Girl is now in Gothenburg for Americas Cup World Series - here's her report from Day 1 of the iconic event.

The Sailor Girl is Nic Douglass, a Sydney based sailor, sailing commentator and icon of the Sydney and Australian sailing scene. She has been in Europe covering the Volvo Ocean Race stopover and other major events.

The Sailor Girl had time to chat to five of the six teams today, here is a run down:

- Nathan Outteridge on Artemis Racing hitting the rocks today and the capsize yesterday.
- Chris Draper on where Softbank Team Japan is at in it's development.
- Glenn Ashby on today's racing and what is to come for Emirates Team NZ.
- Ben Ainslie, briefly on Land Rover BAR's racing today.
- Jimmy Spithill on Oracle USA's day, says Tom Slingsby was on fire.

Earlier today

Ken Read in Gothenburg on the AC and Comanche programs

Having missed catching up with Kenny in Cowes and also in Plymouth was great to talk about his first press conference from the 'other' side as well as the Fastnet, and upcoming schedule for Comanche, and just how he manages his own sailing, with the AC commentary as well as his role with North Sails.
