The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta will again put on a spectacular display of the finest sailing talent from around the world, competing on the Andaman Sea to win the greatest sailing trophy in all of Asia from 3-10 December 2016. This 30th Anniversary year is a culmination of the hard work, dedication, passion and heritage which have been hallmarks of this regatta since its inauguration in 1987.

Over 150 boats and more than 1,500+ sailors will be represented in this year’s race, making the 30th Anniversary Phuket King’s Cup Regatta the most important in the event’s history. The regatta’s series of beachside parties is legendary, attracting over 1,500 participants, VIP guests and world class sailors, and local and international media from around the world.

The 2016 Phuket King’s Cup Regatta represents a magnificent milestone in the evolution of the competition for it is the 30th Anniversary of Asia’s classic regatta. The regatta’s Pearl Anniversary run is set to be the most memorable in its history; a burgeoning international fleet replete with superb young Thai sailing talent the future, whilst serving the past as a conscientious nod to the regatta’s growth from humble beginnings 30 years ago, helped massively by its 'Under Royal Patronage' status. The regatta includes dinghies (International Dinghy Classes), keelboats and multihulls amongst its competitive classes, and will feature a sail pass to celebrate His Majesty the King's birthday.
