2014 World Yacht Racing Forum - The CEO of Alvimedica will be one of the event speakers alongside Sir Keith Mills, Bertrand Cardis, Bryan Winning, David Brabis, James Dadd, Dobbs Davis, Alistair Fox and many other key personalities from the yacht racing industry.

The World Yacht Racing Forum will welcome for the first time Dr. Cem Bozkurt, CEO of Alvimedica, the partner of the Turkish/American entry in this year’s Volvo Ocean Race. While Team Alvimedica is battling their way to Abu Dhabi on Leg Two of the around-the-world race, their team owner will join the World Yacht Racing Forum.

'We are only on Leg Two of the Volvo Ocean Race and already we have achieved significant success in increasing our brand awareness as a young global company in the medical devices field,' Bozkurt said. 'The Volvo Ocean Race and the young team led by American skipper Charlie Enright create a perfect platform for a pioneering company such as ours. In the medical field, there are limits on what can be advertised as you bring new products to market. Engagement with this event allows us to activate in markets around the world and to have a unique communication platform not only for business-to-business but also to collaborate with heart-related charity initiatives to spread heart health awareness.'

'Additionally the Volvo Ocean Race offers us a unique environment to support a landmark medical study, with our sailors being continually monitored with the goal of learning more about physical and heart health under stress conditions. We look forward to sharing our experiences with leaders in our sport at this year's World Yacht Racing Forum.'

Now in its seventh year, the World Yacht Racing Forum is the leading yacht racing industry conference, and is the only occasion in the year where key players from yacht racing event organisers, teams, sponsors, agencies and sailors gather together and help shape the future of the yacht racing industry discussing topical debates.?
