Transat Jacques Vabre - Maitre Coq, Safran and Concise withdraw

On Monday evening at 2215hrs UTC/2315hrs CET Jeremie Beyou, skipper of the IMOCA 60 Maitre Coq, told his shore team of a problem with their forestay.
According to the information provided by Beyou, the stay which holds the mast to the bow had unscrewed and so duo, Beyou and co-skipper Philippe Legros, will stop into Roscoff where his shoreteam will be waiting to assess the problem and make a repair.
The problem occurred while the boat was in fourth position after 10 hours of racing.
The team are fully motivated to ensure the repair is completed quickly and Maitre CoQ can resume racing as quickly as possible.
Earlier, the crew of the IMOCA 60 Safran, Morgan Lagravière, skipper of the IMOCA 60 Safran, contacted the Transat Jacques Vabre Race Directors at 2020hrs UTC to inform them there had been some damage aboard.
The crew (Morgan Lagravière and Nicolas Lunven) has taken the decision to head for Brest.
Both skippers are fine and the conditions should allow them to reach the Breton port.
The latest withdrawal is the Class 40 Team Concise (Jack Boutell and Gidas Mahe) have also advised they have sustained damage and they have decided to head for Cork, Ireland and will make a full assessment at full light. They altered course for the nearest coast around midnight Monday/Tuesday UTC and are sailing at 7kts towards Ireland.
