Route du Rhum - Bob Escoffier hélitreuillé suite à une voie d’eau

A 12h55 ce jeudi 6 novembre au large du Cap Finistère, la balise de Groupe Guisnel, le monocoque Classe Rhum de Bob Escoffier, s’est déclenchée. Le CROSS a immédiatement pris contact avec la direction de course de la Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe.

Benjamin Hardouin, situé à proximité a alors été dérouté. Le skipper de Krti’R V a très vite pu établir un contact avec le Malouin qui lui a alors fait savoir que Groupe Guisnel était victime d’une importante voie d’eau dont la source n'est pas encore identifiée. Dans le même temps, le remorqueur « Sar Gavia », en route pour rapatrier le trimaran Olmix et alors situé à moins d’un mille du monocoque en difficulté, a été dérouté et un hélicoptère a également été dépêché sur zone. Bob Escoffier est sain et sauf et a été hélitreuillé. Il se rend actuellement la base de Vivero.
