Davy Beaudart (Flexirub) winner of the first stage of the Mini Transat Iles de Guadeloupe, crossed the finish line today, Saturday 26th September at 10:34:46 local time.

The solo skipper sailing on Flexirub took six days nineteen hours four minutes and 46 seconds from Douarnenez to Lanzarote sailing at an average speed of 7,63 knots.

Davy took the lead of the race on the 21st of September just off Finisterre and held on to it right to the finish.

“This boat surprises me more every day. It really is a great success! It has been very well thought out, despite it been demanding, it is noise, but it was really good fun to sail. In the wind, and I had up to 30/40 knots, it was not fun and either the boat would make or break!

I have no regrets about having spend nights and weekends to really prepare it well, that really helps…

It really is a great race!”
