Igor Simcic’s 100-ft Maxi Esimit Europa 2 (SLO) has claimed line honours at the 2015 Giraglia Rolex Cup.

Arriving in Genoa at 17:27 CEST on Thursday, Esimit Europa 2 completed the 243-nm offshore race from Saint-Tropez, France in 29 hours, 11 minutes and 58 seconds.

The time is someway off the 14 hours, 56 minute and 16 second race record set by the same boat set back in 2012.

Esimit Europa 2 celebrate a fifth line honours win at the Giraglia Rolex Cup (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015).

Second on the water – and Esimit’s closest rival – is Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones’s Wally Cento Magic Carpet Cubed, currently six-nm from the finish line.
