Etchells World 2014 - Etchells legends panel now scheduled for Friday

Etchells World Championship 2014 - Due to the lateness of Thursday's race, which didn't finish until after 1800, the panel discussion has been postponed to Friday evening. The timing remains the same, though it is subject to change.

What:
Some of the world's best-known sailors will participate in a panel discussion on the enduring Etchells design (95 boats competing in its 46th world championship) and sailing in general.

Who:
America's Cup champions John Bertrand and Brad Butterworth (above, center) will be joined by Volvo Ocean Race and America's Cup skipper Ken Read, match racing world champion Bill Hardesty and keelboat guru Jud Smith.

When:
Friday, June 27, starting at 1800, with the panel discussion scheduled to begin around 1830.

Where:
New York Yacht Club at Harbour Court, 5 Halidon Ave., Newport, R.I.

How:
RSVP is required, contact Stuart Streuli, Communications Director for the New York Yacht Club, at 401-608-1128 or via email (streulis@nyyc.org). Attire for the evening is smart casual. Per Club policy, jeans are not allowed to be worn on property.
