With four weeks remaining until the 2013 Brisbane Boat Show opens its doors, event organiser Marine Queensland already has secured bookings for more than 90 percent of exhibition space available.

That means there’s only a small window of opportunity left for additional marine-related businesses to promote their products and services at the show which will be staged at a newly redeveloped, RNA Showgrounds at Bowen Hills on the northern boundary of the Brisbane CBD.

Marine Queensland is advising marine-related businesses they still can join exhibitors from across the country representing more than 50 different boat brands and scores of the largest names in marine electronics and accessories.

Many of them will be releasing new and upgraded models at the show.

'The number of new recreational boat models being unveiled, some by entirely new brand names, will put Brisbane at the forefront in terms of showcasing boats available locally,' according to Marine Queensland Chief Executive, Mr Don Jones.

More than 10,000 square metres in exhibition space already has been booked for the four day event which will run from Friday September 6 until Monday September 9.

'This year’s show places a greater emphasis on providing a family festival of marine entertainment,' Mr Jones said.

'Among other attractions, It will feature weekend appearances by Paul Worsteling from television’s I Fish series; a cooking stage where Bart Beek will teach people how to prepare recipes from the current edition of Club Marine’s magazine; live weigh-ins for the Qld BREAM Open Fishing Tournament, a Kids Marine Zone for the youngsters; interactive displays and expert lectures.'
