Don't come knockin' on my door!

Don’t come knockin’ on my door this week, at least not the door to Powerboat-World’s Gold Coast, Queensland facility.
Reason being, of course, we’re some 900 kilometres south, at the 2010 Sydney International Boat Show.
So far, the weather has not been totally on side, with scattered showers for the opening day (Thursday), but improving conditions are on the way.
In addition to a brief show preview, we can reveal the winners of the prestigious Export Awards announced by the Australian International Marine Export Group and we also report on forthcoming life jacket reforms.
In other news, Honda Marine has named its Dealer of the Year and things are looking good for the approaching Waikato Boat, Leisure and Fishing Show in New Zealand.
Port Macquarie, on the NSW North Coast has played host to the Formula powerboats and we have some excellent action shots from master lensman Theo Spykers.
Interesting to note that a rare species of coral has been discovered in the Pacific Ocean that has oceanographers quite excited.
Plenty more to keep you occupied and I assure you plenty more to come when we return to the Gold Coast and prepare a comprehensive report on the Sydney International Boat Show and the current state of the industry.
Enjoy the read and make stopping by a regular habit, it’s the way to ensure you are up to date with the news of the powerboat-world.
