The Dinghy Sailing Show will take place at Alexandra Palace over the weekend of the 3 and 4 March. The windy hill site in the north of London normally manages a few snow showers as winter gives up its grip in the face of the enthusiastic crowds.
There are over 100 dinghy and class associations exhibiting with examples of their boats and top sailors available to answer your quetions. Plus there are plenty of bargins on the many equipment and chandlery stands.

When: 10:00-18:00 on Saturday 3 March and 10:00-17:00 on Sunday 4 March.
How much:
On the door: Adult £12.00 - Child (5-16) £6.00
In advance: The advance ticket office will close at 17.00 on 27 February 2007. Adult £10.50 - RYA member (adult) £9.00 - Child (5-16) £5.00 - RYA member (child) (5-16) £4.00
Children under 5 get in free.
Sunday: Children under 16 get in free (sponsored by RS Racing) if accompanied by an adult (max two children per paying adult). RYA Membership discount cannot be combined with this offer.
Group Discount:
The group discount rate applies to purchases of 10 or more tickets.

Child (5-16) £4.00

Underground:
Nearest underground station for Alexandra Palace is Wood Green on the Piccadilly Line. Average journey time from King’s Cross is 15 minutes.
Rail:
Nearest rail station is Alexandra Palace Station. Trains from King’s Cross run every 15 minutes on Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday. Average journey time from King’s Cross is about 15 minutes.
Bus:
The W3 bus route links Alexandra Palace to Wood Green underground and Alexandra Palace mainline stations.
Free shuttle bus:
This calls at Wood Green underground station and Alexandra Palace mainline station as well as picking up from the Alexandra Palace car parks. The service will run from 0930 until 1830 on Saturday and from 0930 until 1730 on Sunday.
Coach:
Free coach parking in the grounds of Alexandra Palace.
Car:
Alexandra Palace is 5 miles from the M1 (Junction 2), 8 miles from the M25 (Junction 25) and1 mile from the North Circular Road (A 406). Take the B550 Colney Hatch Lane exit from the North Circular Road.
Free car parking:
There are 2,000 car parking spaces in the grounds of Alexandra Palace. The free shuttle bus service for the stations also calls at the car parks on its way to and from the show.
On foot:
Alexandra Palace is about 1.5 miles from Wood Green station and about 1 mile from Alexandra Palace station.
Disabled Access:
Alexandra Palace has parking spaces at the main entrance for blue badge holders. All areas are accessible to disabled visitors, including wheelchair users. Guide dogs are also welcome.

Food and drink:
The Roman Bar, next to the West Hall, and the Phoenix Pub, by the main entrance, will both be open serving drinks and snacks. There are self-service outlets in the Great Hall, selling snacks and cold drinks. For something more substantial, the self-service Palace Restaurant offers hot meals, as well as salads and sandwiches.
