Light winds have meant that there has been no racing in the Tornado World Championships on Day 3.

The Pricipal Race Officer took the competitors out onto the water for a start at 1300hrs, while there was 7kts or more of breeze from a southerly direction in parts of the race course, in others it was down to less than 2kts.

Around the Hauraki Gulf there was up to 14kts of wind from the south west (offshore direction), but it did not reach the competitors.

At 1400hrs the PRO sent the competitors ashore to wait for the wind's arrival, however the breeze did not materialise and at 1630hrs racing was called off for the day.

Tomorrow, Thursday was scheduled as a rest day, however it will now be used for racing, with the first of two races scheduled to get underway at 1300hrs
