Day 5- Entering the Final Phase

Regatta organisers sailed three races today in the Finals phase of the 2008 Womens World Laser Radial Championship.

The racing got underway off Takapuna, New Zealand at 1000hrs this morning.

Conditions in the race area, began with aneasterly seabreeze, averaging 13kts, gusting to 15kts with overcast skies.But eased as the skies cleared the wind eased back to 6-8kts.

As three races have been sailed sailed today, the organisers will sail two more races to conclude the regatta tomorrow, Thursday.

This will allow a total of ten races in the World Championship and will also allow competitors to drop a further race for their second discard.
