Learn to sail with Tackers - Queensland dates, Sundays and holidays

When it comes to sailing, there is no better way to learn then through a structured program. Kids learn to sail with tackers and take this invaluable knowledge through with them into later life.

Tackers is essentially a Yachting Australia program aimed at getting kids aged 7- 12 into sailing. It is a fun, exercise filled way for young Australian kids to experience a unique sport.

Safety in tackers is paramount. AS well as providing life jackets there will be a safety boats on the water weather condition are checked prior to all sessions and kids will be under the supervision of qualified Yachting Australia instructors who are first aid trained.

Important dates to note for the Yachting Queensland Tackers program are the first Tackers course day which starts on the 29th of January running from 9am to 12pm. This particular course runs every Sunday until the 18th March.

Following the first course is the Tackers Intro Day and Tackers Training camp which begins on Sunday the 25th of March. The kids will begin at 9am and finish the day at 4pm.

The final date to note is the Tackers Holiday program. This is a fantastic way to keep the younger kids entertained and active between breaks at School. The camp kicks off on Monday the second of April and concludes on Wednesday the fourth. The three day camp includes fun filled days of coaching, and learn to sail activities.

Write these dates in your calendar because the Tackers program is a fun, safe and exciting way to experience sailing.
