Once again, for the 24th time, Herbert Dahm is to organise a 'Club Yachting Life' sailing event in cooperation with the Marina Ibiza in the clear waters and beautiful landscapes of the Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Formentera.
The Club Yachting Life Cruising Rally, from 2nd to 5th June 2011, is the only sailing event sponsored and organised specifically for superyachts with the idea of enriching the community life of the yacht enthusiasts.
Yacht owners as well as their family and friends are welcome to join the annual club event – as repeaters or for the first time. This year, the get-together will also feature a day of regatta racing. The competition will be completed by relaxed cruising and evening entertainment in the stunning surroundings of Ibiza and Formentera.
Herbert Dahm founded the club in 1987 with the idea of providing an enjoyable setting for inspiring get-togethers of passionate sailors. The first club regatta was held in 1988 from Palma to Cabrera, followed by competitions around i.e. Monte Carlo, Porto Cervo, Corsica, Menorca and St. Tropez, always accompanied by a well-developed social programme.

About the two islands:
Ibiza is the nearest to the mainland, 100 kilometres off the Costa Blanca coast. It's just 45 kilometres long and 15 kilometres wide at its central point but this is the party capital of Europe. But travel a short distance from the two club land areas of Ibiza town and San Antonio and you'll find the other, lesser-known Ibiza - an island of traditional Spanish villages amid the orange and lemon groves, stunning mountains, cliffs and delightful hidden coves. There are colourful street markets, local fiestas and Spanish tapas bars where the locals gather but foreigners rarely tread.
At Formentera you'll discover one of the Mediterranean's best-kept secrets - an island paradise of dunes, cliffs and coves with some of the cleanest unspoilt beaches and clearest waters in the Mediterranean.
