Product of the Week: New deck-entry product stops diesel spillage

'Econab diesel deck-entry fitting'    .

A bucket of salt water on the deck before you started fueling used to be the only sensible way to alleviate some of the effects of the diesel spills that inevitably hit the deck when filling your tanks. This is especially if you are in a place where the flow is meant for a 50,000 tonne ship rather than a 40ft sailing boat. Now a new small product may solve many of the problems associated with filling your sailing boat's tanks.

It is a deck-entry fitting called Econab, which radically changes the way tanks are filled.

Worse than spoiling your neat deck, fuel spillage also means pollution to the harbour or port. Now, thanks to the new anti overspill Econab deck-entry, this is no longer the case, so the installation of this neat gadget should be very popular with authorities.

When the tank is full, the nozzle will automatically stop the fuelling process!

The product is easy to install, it can be used on new or an existing boat. It can be used with all types of fuel (just in case you are interested in petrol/gas), and it will fit nicely in place of the standard deck entry product already there. There is also an anti-theft grid for more security, and best of all, the smell and dirt of spilled fuel just may become a thing of the past.

Filling your tank will become as easy as filling your car. It is available online, by going to the Econab website.
