Love sailing, love your boat, love to be a serious boat builder? Here's your opportunity find out more about one of the world's finest boat building schools, located in Rhode Island (no it doesn't matter if you're not an American citizen.) If you are interested in learning more about the IYRS’s full-time Certificate and Continuing Education programs, go for a tour of the facility.

Informational tours are conducted by the Director of Admissions to familiarize visitors with their programs in Boatbuilding & Restoration, Marine Systems and Composites Technology as well as their Continuing Education courses.

Campus Tours:

Tour are held at both campuses at 10AM on the following dates. Please contact the Director of Admissions by email to register for a tour. If you are unable to make these regularly scheduled tours, they would be happy to show you around at another time. Call +1 (401)-848-5777x203 to schedule a tour.

Newport, RI campus (home to the Boatbuilding & Restoration program):
June 19, July 10 & 24, August 7 & 21

Bristol, RI campus (home to the Marine Systems & Composite Technology programs):

Open Houses at IYRS

Attend one of their Open Houses and learn more about IYRS' training programs, the marketable skills they teach and career opportunities in the marine trades industry. You'll have a chance to tour the facilities and meet with instructors and students.

Jul. 17: Bristol Open House / Information Session for Veterans - 4-7pm, Bristol Campus (5:30pm Discussion about Veteran's Benefits & Financial Aid)

Jul. 19: Newport Open House / Marine Industry Information Session, 4-7pm, Newport Campus (5:30pm Talk about careers in the marine industry given by RIMTA)
