Over 50 New Zealand boats have registered an interest with Royal Akarana Yacht Club in Sail Noumea 2012. Sail Noumea is an offshore yachting event to be run in conjunction with the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron and Cercle Nautique Caledonien.

The three clubs have agreed to collaborate in the conduct of ocean races and passage cruise rallies from Auckland and Queensland to Noumea, with a post event cruise rally.

The Australian part of the event will start from Brisbane on Sunday 3rd June 2012.

People intending to join Sail Noumea 2012, those just considering it, and those simply with an interest in the South Pacific Islands and offshore sailing can find more information about Sail Noumea 2012 at www.sailnoumea.com.

The website is the source of all the latest information and news and includes: A timer counting down the time to the start, boat and crew profiles of current entries, live tracking when the event is underway, Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions, an online entry form, and all the forms required for a paper entry.
