Operational change at Doyle Sails Northland

Effective immediately Doyle Whangarei will no longer be operating as part of the Doyle Sails group. The former Doyle Whangarei loft will now be run under a different parent group with no access to Stratis or any of the Doyle IP, product range or support network.

With Northland such an active region, particularly within the cruising market, ensuring that there is no change in our service and support to customers as a result of this change is Doyle’s primary focus. To this end Peter Boyd has now been appointed as Doyle representative for the whole of the Northland region.

Having joined the Doyle team in early 2015, Peter is a hugely experienced sailmaker. With more than 100,00NM gained through racing and cruising, and having been recently appointed a safety inspector for Yachting New Zealand, his wealth of knowledge has proved an invaluable asset to the Doyle team

Based out of Opua Peter will deliver a full service for our Northland customers, dividing his time between the Bay of Islands, Whangarei and the Pacific Islands. This will allow Doyle to provide support for boats both arriving and departing Northland and the Pacific. Peter’s expanded remit will now include regular time in Whangarei for sail work, pick ups and drop offs, continuing the support that Doyle customers in the Whangarei region have enjoyed to date.

Headquartered out of Auckland, Doyle Sails NZ offers a full range of cruising and racing sail options for yachts of all sizes. Customers throughout New Zealand are able to take advantage of the many technologies being developed and applied to the Doyle sail range, with complementary departments including service, rigging, covers and upholstery. Doyle’s particular strength is its team, with some of the most well-known names in Kiwi yachting at the helm, including Richard Bouzaid, Head of Design, Mike Sanderson, Head of Sales, and Chris McMaster, Managing Director.
