Oceanair has launched two new products at METS, the worlds largest international boatshow, held in The Netherlands.

SKYSOL Precision, a cost-effective, compact pleated blind for yacht windows
Oceanair’s innovative SKYSOL Mini pleated blind has been designed specifically for portlights with cost and quality in mind. The key feature is the mini size with the design incorporating a custom 14mm pleat creating a blind unit 30% smaller than anything comparable on the market and giving the most compact and neat style.
The blind can be deployed and positioned at any level using an inbuilt friction mechanism. When stowed, an integrated handle is hidden into the head rail, creating a sleek and stylish product design.
Free from conventional guide wires, the blind is child safe, whilst leaving for a completely open and clear aperture when stowed. A lock system secures the blind whilst it is in the stowed position. This prevents the blind from rattling, an annoyance commonly associated with those blinds that have not been designed for the marine environment.
Designed to exceed customer requirements, SKYSOL Mini is available in either white or beige and in a number of sizes up to a maximum width of 600mm and a drop of 300mm. The pleated fabric selected is UV resistant, blackout and colour co-ordinated to the hardware. An elegant and affordable shading solution, SKYSOL Mini has been thoroughly tested for life at sea.
Complete with discreet hold-backs, SKYSOL Mini can be either top or face fixed with just two screws, or can be mounted directly onto the portlight. For consistent interior styling, the blind fully complements Oceanair’s extended SKYSOL pleated bind range, providing solutions for sunroofs, hatches, companionways and windows.
The second product launched at METS by Oceanair is SKYSOL Precision, a cost-effective, compact pleated blind for yacht windows. The blind can be pulled down and left in any position due to an inbuilt mechanism that provides resistance when the blind is pulled down or pushed up. This is a large advantage for boaters when regulating onboard natural light and temperature, saving on energy costs, whilst ultimately helping to create perfect onboard ambience.
This blind uses magnets, no cording or string, integrated discreetly behind the bottom rail, which prevent the blind from rattling, whether stowed or fully deployed. Complying with the new EU Directive on Child Safety with Blinds, the SKYSOL Precision is free from conventional guide wires and leaves a completely open and clear aperture when stowed.
The elegant blind can accommodate a wide range of window sizes and inclines of up to 5°. Available in custom sizes up to a maximum width of 2000mm and a drop of 2000mm, Oceanair offers a wide range of pleated blind fabrics, in various colours and textures, including UV resistant, blackout and sheer options. The SKYSOL Precision has been rigorously tested for the marine environment.
The compact and affordable SKYSOL Precision complements Oceanair’s existing SKYSOL pleated blind range, providing a consistent interior styling shading solution for sunroofs, hatches, companionways and portlights.
