Boaters are reminded to keep clear of Toronto Bay at Lake Macquarie next weekend for the safe staging of the classic boat festival.
Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence to the Lake Macquarie Classic Boat Association to host the event at Toronto Bay from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 April between 9am and 5pm.
An event area established between the amateur sailing club and baths at Toronto will be marked by buoys and monitored by control vessels.
Vessels not involved in the event should not enter the marked area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
