Boaters are reminded to keep clear of a section of Kogarah Bay at Sans Souci this weekend for the safe staging of speed boat races.
Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the event on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July between 9am and 4.30pm in an area covering about a kilometre running north/ south parallel to Vista Street in Sans Souci and about 200 metres into Kogarah Bay.
The area will be marked by orange buoys and monitored by control vessels.
Vessels not involved in the event should not enter the marked area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
