Don't forget New Zealand - the Bay of Islands beckons SW
Turn left – it’s easy! If you're sailing the South Pacific, it's not a big stretch to consider including New Zealand - specially when there's a great rally to join, with all the resource assistance you might ever need and new friends (and maybe old friends) to do it with.
So why not choose New Zealand as your next cruising destination with the free ‘All Points Rally’, sponsored by the Island Cruising Association (ICA).
Yes the All Points Rally is a free-to-enter, informal cruising rally to New Zealand, organised annually.
Yachts departing from all major ports in the South West Pacific, including Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia, can sign up for the rally at no cost, and leave from any port of their choice at their own leisure.
The important thing is that the rally culminates in a week of fun, festivities and free seminars in Opua, Bay of Islands, NZ, from 15th to 22nd November 2014.
Boats joining the rally will receive a host of free information, resources and tools to help make the passage to New Zealand as easy as possible. Assistance with passage planning, weather information and customs clearance are all provided, as well as advice on where to cruise, and the yacht services available on arrival in New Zealand.
Participants who sign up to the rally will also benefit from a free Associate Membership of the Islands Cruising Association, which opens up a world of cruising resources. Plus those who sign up before 31 July 2014 will be entered into a special ‘Early Bird’ prize draw.
