Benefit evening for James and Somira - Anasazi Girl - November 21

Anasazi Girl - Fundraiser - Richmond Yacht Club SW
Josh Tucker and several others from the Auckland sailing scene are putting on a shipwreck party as a fundraiser for James and Somira and their three kids off Anasazi Girl who are stuck in Chile after losing the rig last year.

Funds are tight for them and they are struggling to pay for the new rig.

Anasazi Girl, an Open 40 (yes they were on a world 'cruise' in an Open 40 with three kids) had almost completed two laps of the globe on a full carbon Open 40. Pretty inspiring stuff.

Before departing for Cape Horn, they spent a lot of time in NZ and made plenty of friends while they were here so their friends and supporters have teamed together and will hold a fundraising party night at the Richmond Yacht club on Saturday November 21 from 7.00pm til late.

All proceeds including bar takings will be given to James and Somira and will be going towards getting a rig back in the boat. There will be having Gutter boat racing and plenty of other fun activities.

Come along and show the good will in the NZ sailing scene and the effort we all make to help fellow sailors.

These are good people who really need our help.

Where: Richmond Yacht Club, Westhaven Drive, Auckland

When: Saturday November 21, 2015 from 7.00pm to 1.00am
