It’s only just been launched and yet the Cruiser 37 has already been nominated for the most prestigious award in the yachting and water sports industry.

Every year, representatives from Europe’s top eleven sailing magazines select their candidates for the respective categories of the European Yacht of the Year Award.

The 11.30-meter Bavaria Cruiser 37 has been shortlisted along with five other yachts for the Family Cruiser 2014 category.

Bavaria is proud to receive this nomination, which recognises the good work done by the yard and its partners to improve the new Cruiser range.

'Highlights such as the new and completely overhauled deck design, the large panorama windows and the largest bathing platform in its class, helped the Cruiser 37 achieving the nomination', said Daniel Kohl, Product manager Sailing Boats at Bavaria.

'The improvements are widely present also below deck: a spacious saloon with a new storage concept for optimal organisation of life on board. Finally, the new panorama windows allow plenty of light into the interior, and together with the new coachroof windows create a sense of greater spaciousness'..

'Finally', says Mr Kohl, 'during our first press tests we could verify that the improvements on the rigging and steering brought the Cruiser 37 to achieve a very smooth responding and a high feeling of agility that our customers will love.'

As with all the boats in the new Cruiser line, the Cruiser 37 was developed by Bavaria in cooperation with Farr Yacht Design (USA) for the naval architecture, and with Design Unlimited (UK) for the exterior and interior design.

Testing for the European Yacht of the Year Award is going to take place in either Southampton or La Spezia during autumn.

The winners, as usual, will be announced at 'boot 2014' in Düsseldorf, Germany's principal boat show.

Bavaria will be presenting the Cruiser 37 along with the complete Cruiser collection at coming trade shows.
