A new www.bakewell-white.com!Bakewell-White 36, General Lee, has is due to be launched at Westhaven tomorrow.
Designed for offshore racing, and Cat 1, she is owned by two West Australian sailors, Paul Eldrid, who runs Evolution Sails in Perth, and Scott Disley. General Lee has spars and rigging from www.nzrigging.com!NZ_Rigging.
Sails are by Evolution Sails.
Her program is to compete in the Auckland Fiji Race, then Hamilton Island and then to .Perth.
Built by Davie Norris Boatbuilders in Christchurch, designer Brett Bakewell-White describes her as being similar to an earlier yacht, Alfresco, except that she is a foot longer and more focused on offshore racing. She came from the same mould as Alfresco.
