2013 Sydney International Boat Show - Jeanneau premieres

by Mainsheet Media on 17 Jul 2013
The latest in the popular deck saloon range, the 41DS Jeanneau France
The Jeanneau yacht range truly caters to all tastes and the models on show at Sydney International Boat Show 2013 highlight the scope of the range.

Two examples are making their Australian Premiere this year and both have already been sold to local customers.

The first of the premieres is the Sun Odyssey 41 Deck Saloon. Replacing one of the most popular models in Australia, the 42DS, the 41 is the second model in the fully revamped Deck Saloon range.

With extensive input from Australian owners the 41DS has been designed with a large spacious cockpit to take advantage of local conditions, more windows and opening hatches, and of course the signature enormous owners’ cabin.

The 41DS comes with a standard sail plan of in-mast furling main and a short overlap headsail but customers can select options of a conventional mainsail, a self-tacking jib, and a code 0. The winch layout is also designed to make shorthanded cruising that much easier.

The next Australian Premiere is the Sun Odyssey 469. The 469 is a performance cruiser that features the same attributes that are seen on the successful Sun Odyssey 509 and 409. A modern chined hull, large cockpit and high end interior are particular features and, as with other models, a wide range of optional sail plans are available.

Also on display will be the Sun Odyssey 379. Already an award winner, the 379 is one that will appeal to a wide range of tastes with 2 or 3 cabin layouts and three keel options including a lifting keel, shoal draft, or standard draft. Combined with a self-tacking headsail option, the 379 is a hard one to beat.

To complete the Jeanneau line up at the show the new 2013 Jeanneau 53 is making an appearance. Now with a new stylish interior the 53 is an international success with over 200 already in the hands of customers.

The full range of Jeanneau yachts are imported into Australia with ongoing customer service through a national group of well-established dealers under the banner of The Australian Marine Network.
