Welcome to Sail-World Canada
Canadian windsurfers perform in Weymouth!

A particular difficult predicament for the Clarke and Bjorn duo since the Star class will not be present at the Rio games in 2016. Medal races will be available on the CTV 2012 Olympics on-line World Feed channels; the mounting battle between Finn racers Ainslie and Hogh-Christensen promises to be exciting!

Racing continues this week-end in the other classes and our windsurfers are looking good with mixed results that include a fourth place in the challenging Weymouth conditions; both Nikola Girke and Zac Plavsic are currently sitting in eight place. With so much attention on the Olympics, Halvard Mabire's recent achievement in the Transat Québec St-Malo was easily overlooked; the skipper of Campagne de France is the only person to ever win a second consecutive Transat event. Mabire topped off his 2012 win with a new Class 40 record for the race. In the Open Class, FenêtréA Cardinal 3 skippered by Erwan Leroux secured first place earlier this week while Georges Lablanc's Canadian team on the 65' Océan Phénix is bringing the rear after suffering multiple technical difficulties along the way.
