If you are following the Olympic regatta in Weymouth - either on our Sail-World Olympic newsletters, or on the Sail-World Asia website - then a lot of this will be familiar. And then there are the virtual VPN systems such as ExpatShield which allow you to access BBC's iPlayer and watch the action live! Boutique Broadcasting at its very best.

If you are British, it will have felt like a rocky start to proceedings, but the sun is out now and everything is looking good. The best-performing Asian sailor is presently China's Xu Lijia who is lying 5th overall in the Laser Radial after six out of ten prelim races.

The RS:X Class Association has launched a legal challenge against ISAF's decision to dump windsurfing from the Rio 2016 Olympics. ISAF is quoted as being 'extremely disappointed that this course of action has been taken,' but then - they would be, wouldn't they? RS:X describe the ISAF decision as 'perverse and unfair.' This is going to be an interesting story to watch.

Meanwhile, whoever you are supporting in Weymouth: keep the faith.
