Join the buzz in the world of the cruising sailor
 | | Waiting for the tide . | Every week, all over the world there are sailors in every mode of sailing – learning, cruising, building boats, setting out on adventures or returning from them, losing their boat by misadventure, doing dumb things and surviving.
There are new ideas emerging, new products, new yachts with amazing innovations. And it's all here, in Sail-World's weekly news magazine, the news magazine for the cruising sailor, the non-competitive sailor.
This week is no different. From the tearful survivor who tells what it was like to lose his yacht, to the serious sailors heading for the Northwest Passage, from the article about a new low-emission dinghy to the restoration of a hundred-year-old yacht, among all the stories there's sure to be some that you can't go past.
There's the tale of the young man who has almost completed a circumnavigation of Britain when he lost his rudder, and the sombre news of an terror attack in Panama on cruising sailors. You might get a bit of a laugh at the training sailing boat that took a wrong turn and provided lots of photo opportunities while it sat on a rock high and dry, or an even bigger laugh at the two motor boats that couldn't get out of each others' way.
 | | Last sight of the 60m yacht Yogi, which sank in Greek waters in February .. . |
Or you might rather read the second part of John Curnow's interview with an Oceanis Beneteau 45 owner, or how the 'perfect storm' of weak skill and strong desire sank a yacht in the Mediterranean, or you might even like to learn how to build your own boat from some of the best teachers in the world.
Browse down the headlines to find your interest, and...
Sweet sailing!
