The four deaths in the 113 nautical mile Newport to Ensenada Race have dominated international sailing news in the last 24 hours, with the Hunter 376 Aegean having possibly been sucked into the propellers of a large freighter. Time will tell.

Three Gold Medals from Hyeres for Australia with Tom Slingsby dismasted while leading the Laser medal race and Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen's medal race blown out. A reminder that Black Caviar is not sailing for Australia.
