Medical emergency, Volvo in Auckland and more sailing news

Excitement in New Zealand as the Volvo Ocean Race teams have finally reached Auckland. The triumph for Franck Cammas' Groupama 4 team was tinged with worry, as Groupama sustained damage on the way to the leg 4 final destination. Repair crews are now hard at work, hampered by the Auckland weather. Editor at Large Richard Gladwell was on hand to capture the excitement as the teams finished.

In sunny Brisbane, Australia the Laser World Masters Championships are underway on Moreton Bay and drama for Clipper Round the World yacht De Lage Landen, forced to divert for a medical evacuation. After meeting a Japanese Coast Guard vessel and transferring the injured crew member De Lage Landen is now back on course and headed for Oakland, California.

Volvo Ocean Race - Puma's fight for second pays off Lisa Ramsperger,  Puma crossed the line at 11:55.43 local/22:55.43 UTC in Auckland, New Zealand, completing the Volvo Ocean Race leg from Sanya, China, in 20 days, 3 hours, 57 minutes and 50. 'We had to fight for this second-place finish, and we're very pleased,' said skipper Ken Read.
