There's a lot of weekend reading in this edition of Sail-World.
From the fifth round of the ISAF World Cup, at Medemblik, Holland we report on the progress of the NZL Sailing team and other other New Zealand competitors.
Peter Burling and Blair Tuke are putting in a solid effort in the 49er class competing against the current World Champions and 2008 Olympic representatives.
With a day left in the regatta they are poised for a medal.
We have a report on their perspective of the regatta in this edition. And stay tuned to our website www.sail-world.com for the finals outcome this weekend, plus all the other sailing news.

In Istanbul, Turkey, the Extreme 40 regatta continues. After a disappointing start, Emirates Team NZ are climbing through the fleet in quite impressive fashion. We feature all the official reports along with images and video in this edition of Sail-World. Also featured are the reports from Dean Barker writing for Nexus/Kiwi Yachting Consultants - and gives a perspective that is different from the PR spin on the event.
Follow the rest of the racing on our website www.sail-world.com for the finals.

Staying with Emirates Team NZ, America's Cup, legal issues have once again popped above the parapet. Last night the team issued a release saying they had asked the International Jury to check the validity of the appointment process for the Challenger of Record after the withdrawal of the initial Challenger of record. In this edition we look at what might be behind the move, and where it is headed.

There's a Competitors Forum coming up next week - the issue may get aired in that theatre. We also feature a story from the highly respected and well connected yachting correspondent for The Independent (UK), Stuart Alexander as he looks at some similar but different issues surrounding the America's Cup.
Don't miss the tale of Bob's Bolt featuring the inimitable Bob Fisher, and a deep water closure with a submarine.
