A great win for the GBR Red team in the Rolex Commodores' Cup at Cowes this past weekend. And while the strong winds blasted the Moth Worlds away and most other dinghy events on the south coast, the AudiMed Cup completed another closely contested event off Sardinia.

If you want to check out just what the wind has in store for you over the coming weeks, take a look at the Predictwind.com website - get in quick and pick up their special offer.

The gale force winds meant that I could catch up with some other sporting events - a storming drive from Lewis Hamilton at the British GP and one of the great tennis finals at Wimbledon - Rafael Nadal's efforts keeping the streets of Madrid empty until he finally took the title.

First the football Europeans, now Wimbledon could Spain be the surprise team at Qingdao?

Enjoy your sailing
