Elite socket and Tallon secure marine mount SW
With the iPad and iPhone becoming ever more useful for the sailor, with multiple apps available, a company was bound to come up with some secure attachment systems to made these items of new technology easier to use while sailing, and they did! Tallon Systems iPad mount and an Elite Socket with USB is just the ticket to make your cockpit work better.

Encompassing a USB port, the new Elite Socket is a unique ‘plug and play’ product that allows users to easily mount, remove and relocate items that need power as well as data to function.

A partnership between Tallon Systems and US Company - RAM Mount, enables any model of the widely popular iPad or iPhone to be easily attached to the Tallon Elite Socket, while also providing power to the device using the USB port charger and the ability to communicate with other electronic devices on board such as computers, stereo’s and DVD players.

When the Tallon is not in use for electronics, customers have the option to mount a vast range of RAM Mount or Tallon accessories in its place, or simply close it up to leave a clean, flush and stylish finish.

Tallon Systems General Manager, Duncan Good says interest in the Elite Socket and iPad Mount has been immense since its inception, especially as iPad applications such as the Navionics App have proved very popular with boaties.

'We have developed a one stop shop for every marine connection you need, for mounting, powering and providing data to a vast array of accessories. This Tallon Elite Socket is the perfect partner for the iPad mount, The beauty is, this mount will work just as well in your boat, vehicle or home,' says Duncan.'The advent of sophisticated mapping applications like Navionics App for iPad means that people are taking their devices wherever they go, especially out on the boat as back up for their main navigation systems.'

The Elite Socket retails for around $75 and the iPad mount retails for around $120
