Safe Anchoring with Easy Installation with New AA570 Wireless Counter

by Tristan Campbell on 24 Oct 2013
Auto Anchor manufactures electronic windlass controls and rode counters- available through Kiwi Yachting Kiwi Yachting www.kiwiyachting.co.nz

The latest Auto Anchor rope and chain counter, the AA570, integrates functionality, with the installation advantages of wireless technology.

The AutoAnchor AA570 is a panel-mounted counter that operates the anchor winch and counts at the same time The break through is its ability to connect to a base station in the anchor locker, over 10m (33 ft.) away, without running cables through the boat. It can also control and count 2 separate winches through the same head unit, and is compatible with the increasingly popular drum style winch.

Features such as an automatic preset for anchor deployment and safety stopping point during retrieval are standard in the AutoAnchor 500 series. A hand held wireless remote (the AA710) can easily be paired into the system and used from anywhere on board while on the move.

Larger craft can link up to 6 of the AutoAnchor units between helm stations without any of the heavy and complex cabling associated with electrical installation. Calibration of a single head-unit stores all the settings in the single base station, making set-up a breeze. The AA570 simply requires a 12 or 24V power supply, so no need to change batteries either.

Kiwi Yachting Consultants have listened to customer feedback and the directive has been for a new AutoAnchor that makes anchoring even safer, and easier to use. From for trailer boat to super yacht, the AA570 achieves both.
