Getting your gear (wheel) on

On our new format Sail-World website you can see a Setting Gear Wheel on the top right hand side of each page of the website. This gives you the ability to decide the site layout you like best.
From the left- you can change the back ground colour, from Storm, Pastel, Beach, Spartan and Sky, your call.
Next you can set the site to display two columns, current stories on the left and features in the middle.
Or you might prefer the traditional single story column (what we've been using on SW for yonks),
Then on the right, the mobile version, designed for horizontal display on your mobile phone.
So now you can configure the site the way you want it, Gear on or Gear off, enjoy yourself.
And by the way, you've probably not noticed but the Sail-World site load time is now 1/10th of what it was.
For the nerds, the front end code is dot net, written in C# by a team of four developers with between them sixty years of code cutting.
We still have lots of work to do as the continuous system upgrades roll on, but we are proud of what our team has done and continues to do.
