Aquece Rio International Sailing Regatta – More wind expected on Day 3

by ISAF on 18 Aug 2015
Day 2 - 2015 Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta Pedro Martinez / Sailing Energy / World Sailing
The third day of Aquece Rio International Sailing Regatta 2015 is expected to stir up a stronger breeze than the first two days with 20 knots on the cards.

Sailors were challenged by Rio's light breeze and current over the weekend but Monday is a new day that brings a strong southern breeze.

Inside Guanabara Bay, a late morning five to 10 knot breeze will pick up to 10-15 knots. The outside courses will see a stronger breeze in the region of 15-20 knots with gusts.

It's expected to be another warm day in Rio in the late 20s. However it will turn from clear to partly cloudy as the day moves on.
