OceansWatch experiences SW

Adventurous sailor and qualified skipper is wanted by a marine conservation organisation for a voyage in the South Pacific commencing in Auckland. If you are a qualified sailor who loves the natural environment and has some time to spare, here could be the opportunity for a grand adventure.

OceansWatch is seeking the volunteer skipper (food covered) to look after their lovely Sweden 34 and take her on a six- month marine conservation trip in Vanuatu.

The skipper needs to be in New Zealand no later than March 15 to help with the refit, team building etc then be ready to sail 1st May with three crew, all young scientists.

Your yacht will voyage up and back with three other OceansWatch yachts and you will be in company with another OceansWatch yacht in Vanuatu.

OceansWatch is very safety conscious. Their yacht is NZ Cat 1 Offshore and sails beautifully. There is good paperwork, Codes of Practice and so on and an office in NZ to support you.

OceansWatch, who has steadily built a reputation across the Pacific for the marine conservation they do in collaboration with island peoples, are a registered Charity in the USA, Solomon Islands and New Zealand. The organisation is expanding, with new registrations in process in Brussels and the UK.

This opportunity is hard work, very challenging and very rewarding.
