by Sail-World USA on 24 May 2012
The Rose Cup Dave Perry
There are still a couple more places available in the national youth match racing event called the Rose Cup, reports Dave Perry, Chairman of the US Sailing Match Racing Committee.

The event, sanctioned by US Sailing and founded by the Newport Balboa Sailing & Seamanship Association, will be run June 20-24, at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club in St. Petersburg, Florida in their Sonars.

Competitors must turn at least 16, and must not turn 21, in 2012. The entry fee is $250 a team, and includes coaching throughout the event from Perry, who is the current national match racing champion. The winning skipper from the event will be invited to the 2012 Governor's Cup, an international youth match racing event July 17-22 at the Balboa Yacht Club.

Information can be found at www.spyc.org.
