Chaparral ecstatic with Sydney Boat Show response

Scott O’Hare Chaparral - Best Boating Presentation 2012 Jeni Bone
Scott O’Hare from Chaparral Australia 'positive vibe' strong leads and enquiries following the Sydney International Boat Show, which ended yesterday.

'We are quite excited about the prospects from this show, with interest in the big boats as well as the smaller in the range. The average sale price will definitely be up on the previous two shows. The other boat that surprised us was the popularity of the Xtreme wakeboat. Sydney people have warmed to the idea of something they can use as a big day boat and still use as a sporty wakeboat.'

O’Hare reports four or five sales from the show, and over 212 strong leads from all over the country, mostly Sydney, but also Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Tassie, WA.

'We anticipate about 50 trials before the end of week,' he says enthused.

Chaparral Australia had 10 boats on show in Hall 1 of the convention centre, and took out 'Best Boating Presentation' for 2012. 'That makes two in a row, backing up from Melbourne,' he says proudly.

O'Hare says SIBS exceeded expectations. 'Everything we anticipated has come to fruition across the board. I would say without a doubt, the BIA NSW sets the standard. Belinda and Domenic are to be commended for how comfortable the bump in and out are and their general attitude and thoroughness. They are very ‘can do’. You couldn’t ask for more!'

Next on the agenda are the Chaparral international dealer conference in Florida USA next week, then Auckland and Mandurah boat shows. 'Then we will have some time off and go boating, in a Chaparral of course!'
