Chaparral says thank you to Queensland after Sanctuary Cove Boat Show

by Chaparral Australia on 15 Jun 2012
The Chaparral display was innovative and busy throughout SCIBS. Chaparral Australia
Three weeks after the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, the crew from Chaparral Boats have finally come up for air. With one of the shows most professional displays and boasting the most number of boats for any one manufacturer at the show, Chaparral were re-launching the brand into Queensland in a big way.

'We are delighted with the results from the show', says Chaparral Australia’s Scott O’Hare, 'Queenslanders and other visitors to the show have had a chance to compare nearly every other brand of sports boat available in one venue and have embraced Chaparral’s quality and innovation wholeheartedly.

'With so many people saying how refreshing it was to have something new to consider; our new efficient hulls, new designs and up to the minute looks resulted in 38 test drives across the range immediately after the show and more test booked in coming weeks,' says O’Hare.

Chaparral were surprised with the number of big boat enquiries and subsequent test drives particularly on the 330 Cruiser and 327SSx bow rider – dubbed the ultimate Gold Coast fun machine by everyone who stepped on board.

The majority of Chaparral’s show sales were for the 225SSi Cuddy with 7 sold in total – four into Queensland and three into three different states. The entry level H2o’s went well with strong sales and continuing interest for both the Sport and Ski/Fish models.

O’Hare said he was also very pleased with the Xtreme salt water wake boats expecting to see a number of these running around up and down the coast before the year was out.

'This shows that SCIBS is still a great show for attracting buyers and doing deals from all over the country and I think that there are buyers who have worked hard and done without in tricky economic times who are now ready to enjoy getting out on the water with family and friends again.

'I just want to say 'thank you Queensland' for making our first show in a number of years a winner and for welcoming us the way you have. We know you will love our boats the same as we and the rest of Australia do.'

Chaparral Boats have a solid reputation worldwide for quality innovation and performance with sports boats ranging from 18 to 42 feet.
