Sailors from around the globe are invited to compete in the Semaine Olympique Francaise, the fifth and final leg of the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup, which takes place in La Rochelle from ninth – 13th October.

The finale of the first ever EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup Series, the Semaine Olympique Francaise, will be run in La Rochelle, France, from ninth to 13th October 2013, just one week after the famous Boat-Show Le Grand Pavois. After several successful events in 2013, including the Finn World Master in May and 470 World Championships in August, the Societe Des Regates Rochelaises and the Federation Francaise De VoilE are prepared to welcome the best teams and sailors from Europe and other continents, to the waters of La Rochelle for the last major Olympic classes regatta of the year in Europe.

Competitors are advised that the deadline for early entries is 9th September, so those planning to compete should enter online here.

More information is available via the official event website and the NoR is found here.

Alternatively, further information is available via the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup Series website where the results of the series to date will also be found.

The leader board to date shows sailors from several different nations in the leading positions across the twelve disciplines (including the Paralympic Classes), so there is still plenty of competition to become the first nation to win the overall Champions Sailing Cup. Similarly, within each discipline there remains plenty of competition for the leading positions overall.

The whole French Olympic Sailing Team will be attending the Semaine Olympique Francaise. Five racing areas will be set in the bay of La Rochelle and Medal Races will be sailed alongside the Promenade du Mail, close to the entrance of the Old Port. A spectacular scene.

Located in Port Des MinimeS, one of the biggest marinas in Europe, the venue has been prepared for sailors convenience, with a village, large boat parks and wide launching ramps.

After racing in very demanding and interesting sailing conditions, teams will enjoy the charming city centre of La Rochelle, historic places and monuments, excellent sea food and warm hospitality.

Different standards accommodation can be found easily at good price in October.
